Dallas Baptist University evacuated its campus and canceled classes Thursday after officials say they were made aware of several unverified threats. The move came just ahead of a scheduled event featuring Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson and HUD Secretary Scott Turner, who was set to speak about Opportunity Zones and economic investment in underserved communities. DBU officials say there is no confirmed indication of immediate danger, but the decision was made out of caution as authorities investigate.
