Check out this awesome video Aquarist Lauren captured of scolymia coral eating krill! This coral has symbiosis with zooxanthellae like other photosynthetic corals but it also eats plankton. The slit in the center of the coral is its mouth, food is caught in the feeding tentacles and then moved to the mouth. At night, corals will extend their feeding tentacles to catch plankton floating by while fish that might nibble on those tentacles are asleep. | Aquarium of the Pacific
