With my R6 I did and it's generally accepted that it increases performance slightly. I did the same on the R1. However, I read somewhere that with the R1, removing the intake restrictor actually DROPS power since you are decreasing airbox pressure (the restrictor amplifies the ram air effect)...
Anyone know if when and if the 2026 R1 will roll out? Cant find a new 2025 R1 in the US so I ordered a 2026 in advance that my dealer will get straight from Japan.

Hi Everyone My Yamaha R1 2015 (bought second hand) a few months into owning starting showing symptoms of a bad battery - slow to crank - flickering dash and headlights before starting and eventually couldn't crank at all. Bought a brand new battery and inserted it and by my 5th time riding it...
All 09+ R1's engine (Crossplane) are using spark plugs with 26.5 mm reach plugs & 10 mm thread size, if you try to found the Iridium replacement for the LMAR9E-J (OE plug for the 09+ R1) than you will see, the only option is the Laser Iridium serious (and the race plugs).
